Arvada PD is Breaking Free from Their Vendor

The Arvada Police Department recently entered into a pilot project with VisionTEK for testing our electronic citation solution which is designed to run on Windows Mobile handheld devices. The FrontLine Handheld Citation combined with our Wants and Warrants query function is a comprehensive, yet easy to use software package that plugs into the Information Technology (IT) systems currently in use in the police department and municipal court. Our solution provides police officers with access to critical federal, state and local law enforcement information as well as an easy way to issue traffic citations from a handheld device.

Once a citation is issued, the information is transferred from the field into the department’s headquarters as well as to the local municipal court; significantly increasing the processing speed, and while reducing data entry errors. In addition, the software allows IT personnel to tailor the citation process to the exact needs of the law enforcement agency; from data structure and business processes, to printing and back-end integrations.

FrontLine’s Application Designer (WYSIWYG) allows administrative and IT personnel with no programming skills to design and deploy citations as well as any other field reporting or data collection application within a matter of hours, without assistance from VisionTEK - hence, our eCitation tagline, "Break Free from Your Vendor".

"Working on the eCitation project has been a great experience. The training that was provided by VisionTEK allows me to build the entire citation and view it on the handheld device. The officers review the design and make suggestions. I can then easily make changes to the appearance without the help of VisionTEK. We are looking forward to moving ahead with this project to the next phase," commented Terri O’Keefe, Arvada Police Business Analyst.

The pilot program will last from 30 to 60 days from the time of deployment and will give the Arvada Police Department as well as the Arvada Municipal Court the opportunity to assess the benefits of a highly automated and streamlined electronic citation process created by the agency, for the agency.
