VisionTEK, Inc. and NETdelivery team to provide AMBER Alert information to Colorado First Responders across VisionTEK’s UNITY communications interoperability system.Superior, CO, 1/16/04 - VisionTEK, Inc., a leading provider of mobile data software for public safety agencies, announced the integration of its UNITY® solution with the Colorado AMBER Alert system. In a joint effort with Boulder, CO based NETdelivery, a leading provider of electronic data collection and delivery solutions, AMBER Alert information is now sent to First Responders in the field using the UNITY interoperability solution. This integration makes Colorado one of the first states in the country to provide this information directly to First Responders.
UNITY allows public safety agencies to securely exchange text messages, pictures, and other types of files in real-time. The system also provides the ability to dynamically create response groups for emergency situations. By leveraging UNITY’s capabilities during critical AMBER Alert situations, public safety agencies will be able to coordinate responses and communicate critical information more quickly and efficiently.
NETdelivery’s FormStream software allows state AMBER Alert personnel to electronically collect and review the details of an AMBER Alert incident, then electronically distribute that information to various AMBER Alert stations, which in turn notify the public. With this new interface to VisionTEK’s UNITY network, detailed AMBER Alert information will be sent directly to First Responders in the field, allowing them to respond more quickly and efficiently. Kristina Koellner, head of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's missing-persons unit comments: "Using UNITY to transmit AMBER Alert information directly to First Responders in the field will only enhance an already successful system.
