University of Colorado Police Department Launches Pilot Project with
VisionTEK FrontLine Freedom Software
August 27, 2009 — Broomfield, CO — VisionTEK, a leading mobile applications software provider for law enforcement, announced the launch of a pilot project with the University of Colorado Police Department and the VisionTEK FrontLine Freedom Software.
The University of Colorado Police Department (CUPD) recently entered into a pilot project with VisionTEK to review the FrontLine Freedom Wants/Warrants query and Field Reporting software operating on Windows Mobile devices. The FrontLine Freedom query and field reporting applications, combined with the FrontLine Freedom Designer is a comprehensive, yet easy to use, software suite that plugs into the existing infrastructure. The VisionTEK solution provides police officers and public safety personnel with field access to critical federal, state and local law enforcement information as well as a simple way to create and deploy field reporting applications for Windows Mobile and Windows Operating System devices.
The FrontLine Freedom Designer – WYSIWYG - provides CUPD administrative and IT personnel with tools to design and deploy query and field reporting applications within a matter of hours, without assistance from VisionTEK. This approach makes “Frontline Freedom the Smart Alternative to Traditional Software”.

The pilot program is 30 days which gives the officers and the IT personnel at CUPD, the opportunity to assess the benefits of a highly automated and streamlined query and data collection process created by the agency, for the agency.
