The UNITY Mobile Data Handheld Suite allows agencies to extend officer presence in the field because it provides the robust Wants and Warrants functionally provided by in-car mobile data applications while giving them the freedom and power to access that functionality anywhere a handheld device can be used. Officers walking the street can perform vehicle license and driver license queries with a compact and portable handheld device. When using the UNITY Mobile Data Handheld Suite, agencies are able to leverage the UNITY Data infrastructure to query another agency’s Records Management System (RMS) records. With permission from each participating agency, VisionTEK engineering needs to perform only a few configurations to create and publish queries that allow each agency to run queries against another agency’s RMS database records.
